Painted & Embellished Decor Accents

I have finally decided on two accent colors to add to our mostly grey lounge – Yellow and Blue… odd color combination? I have no idea as I am stupid with pairing colors.
Last week I shared my 3D BUTTERFLY SIDE-TABLE with you, which I painted with this exact shade of blue I have used in today’s post.
It is a small start, but I am not spending lots of money on colors I might get bored with within a month. These are also not really Winter colors, but I am not a seasonal person, not in cooking nor in crafting/decor.
Not necessary for me to go into depth with these – I used old empty containers, painted the two glass bottles on the inside blue and the plastic container on the outside in yellow.

Here I have used an empty Mrs Ball’s Chutney bottle – love the shape! – after I painted this, I hot glued some patterned mirror mosaics all round and added dried flowers {the yellow used to be pink, but I used the same paint as below to change them}

This used to be a cream cheese container which I painted yellow on the outside and added a string of chain and a blue mosaic tile, a succulent and small stones {the chain & tile were glued together using my hot glue gun}

And who would have thought an empty Mayonnaise bottle can look this great ! Also after I painted the bottle, I hot glued yellow piping cord and a patterned mirror mosaic tile around the top. The flowers are from my garden, best ones I could find as none of the Winter plants have started blossoming yet.

And in their new living space adding color to the one corner of the lounge ! The painted flower on the wall, might just get a touch or so of one or both of these colors as well {just a touch!}
Still a lot of color needed but all in good time !
Let me know what you think of the blue and yellow as accents to the grey.
